Do-It-Yourself pest control is a growing industry. With the huge demand in cheaper and cost effective pest control many people are turning to DIY pest control products in order to solve their pest problems.

Does it work? It depends, many products work with great success and others not so much.

There is a great debate in the pest control market at this growing industry, whether consumers will find it a cheap and effective solution to their pest problems.

Regulation

The Biocides & Pesticides Unit (BPU) of the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) operates the statutory permissioning scheme for non-agricultural pesticides in Great Britain, under the Control of Pesticides Regulations.
The HSE assesses data provided by companies in support of applications for approval of non-agricultural pesticides, reviews older non-agricultural pesticides, drafts scientific papers for expert advisory committees and provides technical policy advice in HSE and other government departments.

The HSE aims to:

• To ensure that methods of pest control are safe, efficient and humane
